State Election Commission seeks seven helicopters and 457 companies of CRPF

The State Chief Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Bhanwarlal said in Visakhapatnam that it requested the Centre to send seven helicopters and 457 companies of Central Armed Reserve Force for conduct of the Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections.
Bhanwarlal said on Saturday that they have requested the Centre the copters and CARF personnel for conduct of elections in Telangana on April 30 and in Andhra Pradesh on May 7. Among those, two helicopters were required to be used in Visakhapatnam Agency area along with Khammam, Prakasam, Adilabad, Warangal and some other districts.
Central Armed Reserve Force personnel were required to handle in sensitive areas. He said that the budget for the elections is Rs.500 crore and more money would be required if needed, said Bhanwarlal.
