'Special status will bring lot of Industrial development', says Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi

Disagreeing with the perception that the bifurcation caused injustice to Seemandhra, Union Minister for State for Petroleum Panabaka Lakshmi said that the region have abundant resources that would put the new State in good stead.

Panabaka Lakshmi said that the special status given would go a long way in bringing lot of industrial development and people would get immense benefit in the long run.

Speaking to media in Gudur on Saturday to attend various official functions, she said that on the issue of new capital, she suggested that the place in between Vijayawada and Guntur is best ideal one sine it is centrally located in Central coastal Andhra which is equidistant from the Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra regions.

The Union Minister said efforts are to develop infrastructure including a metro rail project connecting Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali.
