Speaker to announce the name of Mandali Buddha Prasad as the Deputy Speaker of Assembly

Avanigadda MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad filed his nomination on Friday for the Deputy Speaker post on Friday.
The Assembly Speaker Dr. Kodela Siva Prasad Rao will announce his name on Monday, June 23 when the Assembly resumes. The election has become a formality since his nomination was the only one filed at the end of the stipulated time.
Buddha Prasad joined the TDP and got elected as MLA from Avanigadda. He joined the party well before the General Elections quitting the Congress. He worked as a Minister, Chairman of Official Languages Commission.
TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu proposed the name of Buddha Prasad while was seconded by Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa. He submitted his nomination papers to AP Assembly in-charge secretary K Satyanarayana. He was escorted by Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Kamineni Srinivas, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MLAs Gollapalli Surya Rao, Sriram Rajagopal, Vegula Jogeswara Rao, Kaluva Srinivasulu, Bode Prasad, Tenali Sravan Kumar and Talari Aditya.
Yanamala phones to Jagan Mohan Reddy
Meanwhile, Minister for Assembly affairs, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu telephoned to Opposition party leader Jagan Mohan Reddy and sought his support to get the election as unanimous. During the conversation, he reportedly told to Jagan that the information on the selection could not be given due to shortage of time and urged him to extend support.
