South Central Railway GM constitutes three member joint committee to look into the mishap

The South Central Railway General Manager PK Srivastava on Friday constituted a three member joint committee to inquire into Thursday mishap a unmanned level crossing at Masaipet in Medak killing 14 children and injuring 20.
The committee members consisted of Senior Divisional Officers handling safety, mechanical and line functions. The General Manager held a meeting with heads of departments in the zone and reviewed the progress of works on the remaining 640 unmanned level crossings.
On installation of a gate at the unmanned level crossing, he directed the officials to complete the work within in a week time.
