April 18, 2014 - Hyderabad
Telugu Desam Party senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu appealed to the Election Commission to take the objections raised by opposition parties into consideration while scrutinizing the nomination papers of YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to media in Hyderabad, Ramakrishnudu claimed that Jagan Mohan Reddy has violated Electon code by misrepresenting facts in the nomination papers filed to contest Pulivendula Assembly Constituency. Ramakrishnudu said that the Enforcement Directorate which seized the assets of Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated that his assets were worth Rs 1011 crores. He questioned as to how Jagan Mohan Reddy can now claim that his assets are only worth Rs 411 crores.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is the sitting MP of Kadapa Lok Sabha and is now contesting to the Assembly from Pulivendula Constituency.
