RTC staff strikes to work from August 3

Following the failure of talks on the issues raised by the Employees Union of RTC, the staff prepares to participate in the strike from August 2 in both Telangna and Andhra Pradesh.
Nearly 20,000 employees from the State would be participating in the strike demanding immediate release of Rs.243 crore related to Cooperative Credit Society and other areas.
At a meeting with the representatives of the union at Bus Bhavan on Thursday, APSRTC management had expressed its helplessness to repay Rs.243 crore it had utilized form the Cooperative Credit Society as the Government is yet to reimburse Rs.800 crore due to APSRTC.
With the failure of talks, the EU is gearing itself for strike from August 3 in both the States.
