RBI may not agree for re-schedule of loans’, says Andhra Bank CMD

Reserve Bank of India may not agree for re-schedule of loans’, said Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director CRV Rajendran on Saturday.
Andhra Bank CMD said that in spite of untimely rains and drought conditions last kharif, farmers had a good rabi season and most of them are, in deed, in a position to repay the loans’, he said after announcing the bank’s first quarter results for the financial year 2014-15.
Rajendran said that the Bank’s exposure to the agriculture sector was about Rs.35,000 crore both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and nearly Rs.6,000 crore of it could be eligible for re-scheduling, if RBI gives nod for it.
