'Purandeswari committed historic treachery', says Digvijay Singh

AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh speaking to media said that the former Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari has committed a historic treachery by quitting the Congress and joining hands with BJP.
Digvijay said that the Congress party has respected her by giving minister portfolio though she came from Telugu Desam Party. He said that Purandeswari had enjoyed all the benefits from the Congress and then left the party just before general elections for her personal gains.
The AICC general secretary said that the government has cleared the Polavaram irrigation project to provide irrigation water for seven lakh acres in the Seemandhra region and drinking water for Visakhapatnam. He said that it will generate 960 mw of electricity.
On BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Digvijay said that he is a trained liar and had learnt the art of lying from RSS. He further claimed that Modi promotes rumours and false charges against Congress leaders in general and on Gandhi family in particular. He said that Gujarat was a developed State even before 2002 and by the time he took reigns of the State.
