PIL filed challenging the AP Government decision to enhance retirement age to 60

A public interest Litigation petition was filed in the High Court on Thursday challenging the Andhra Pradesh State Government’s decision to extend the retirement age up to 60 years from existing 58 years.
The PIL was filed by AP Unemployees’ association represented by its president P Kalyan of Nellore. The petitioner told to the court that with the extension of retirement age, the chances of unemployed youth have become bleak.
The issue will come up for hearing on Monday.
