'PGMET will be conducted in a fool-proof way', says NTRUHS Vice Chancellor

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences vice-chancellor Dr Raviraju assured the candidates that the Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test will be conducted in a fool-proof way and that there is need not for panic over its conduct.
Dr. Ravi Raju said that the authorities have taken all precautions for the conduct of the test in a more secured way. He said that jumbling system is being introduced this time. The test will be conducted in 24 select centres – 11 centres in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Warangal, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and two in Kurnool.
The vice chancellor said that the candidates can down load their hall tickets by morning of April 27. He said that the regular classes will be commended from July 1 as per the norms of Indian Medical Association. There may be a possibility of enhancement of 150 more seats for the existing 2600 seats in the State. Admissions will go on up to July 10, said Ravi Raju.
Eleven accused sent to remand
Another eleven accused in the PGMET scam who were arrested on Tuesday were sent to remand till May 5 by a local court when produced by police on Wednesday. The arrested included three brokers and the rest medical students. With the fresh arrest, the total number had gone to 41 arrested including 18 brokers and 23 medical students.
