PGMET accused sent to 14 day judicial remand


April 8, 2014 - Hyderabad

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) which has arrested four medical students and seven brokers on Monday in the alleged Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test paper leakage were sent to 14 days judicial remand by the Additional City Metropolitan Magistrate on Tuesday.

With this arrest, the total number of persons has gone to 20 . The brokers were produced before the Magistrate on Tuesday included Ch. Bhushan Reddy, Paulson, Kristappa, Chakravarthi, Vijay, Abhimanyu and Patrik. The students include Ch.Rama Rao, Ch. Sai Praneeth, K Ramana and P Bharat Kumar.

It may be recalled that the Governor and the Chancellor of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences has ordered a probe into the alleged PGMET paper leak after medical students raised hue and cry over some students with questionable credentials securing top ranks.
