New political party from Kiran Kumar Reddy likely tomorrow

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would be taking a final call on floating a new political party on Sunday. Sources said that he will hold a meeting with his supporters and had reportedly contacted nearly 65 MLAs and a few MLCs from Seemandhra region on the issue. He asked them to discuss the issue with the local cadre.

Minister Pithani Satyanarayana said that he would sail with Kiran Reddy if he floats a new political outfit. Similarly other Ministers preparing themselves with him are Erasu Pratap Reddy, TG Venkatesh, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Thota Narasimham, K Partha Sarathi, Ahmadulla, S Sailajanath and Kasu Krishna Reddy.

Some Seemandhra leaders vow to revive party

Meanwhile, Some Seemandhra Congress leaders have decided to back the high command and want to revive the party in the region in the back drop of the party receiving ire of the people. They plan to adopt a two-pronged strategy by first trying to convince the Congress cadre not to take a hasty decision to quit the party and secondly, they plan to pressurise the Centre to provide much needed funds to develop a new capital.

In this mission, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana began interaction sessions with the district presidents. Former Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, N Raghuveera Reddy and Vatti Vasant Kumar felt that the Congress men should be convinced first in the division issue. Raghuveera Reddy said on Friday that the top priority is to revive the party firs while Anam Ramanarayana said that it has to ensure that the new Andhra Pradesh comprising of 13 districts of Seemandhra is developed rapidly.
