'New States will come into existence from appointed date', says Union Minister Jairam Ramesh

Union Minister Jairam Ramesh said that the new States - Telangana and residual Andhra Pradesh will come into existence from the appointed date.
He reminded that Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand were formed within three months from the date of appointed date. Jairam Ramesh said from the appointed date, these two States will have two Chief Ministers, two Chief Secretaries and two DGPs.
Jairam Ramesh said that that the Bill was drafted in such a way that justice is being done to all the 13 Seemandhra districts. Responding on the powers vested to Governor, he said that everything was done in accordance with the Constitution. He said that Congress has given six point formula now have given six point commitment to Seemandhra. Educational reservations will continue on the existing basis in these two States, said Jairam Ramesh.
