Narendra Modi to take up whirlwind tour in Seemandhra

After BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's four public meetings in Telangana, the Bharatiya Janata party is now focusing on public meetings in residual Andhra Pradesh.

Narendra Modi along with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu will address six public meetings on April 30 and May 1. The NDA meetings are being organized by BJP-TDP combine. The public meetings will be held at Tirupati, Madanapalli, Nellore, Guntur, Bhimavaram and Visakhapatnam. It may be recalled that the BJP candidates are contesting in Visakhapatnam, Narsapur, Tirupati and Rajampet while the left over Guntur and Nellore Lok Sabha seats are being contested by TDP. Sources said that Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan is likely to attend the meetings and invitation has been already extended to him.

BJP state president appoints campaign committee

BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Kambhampati Hari Babu appointed film actor and former Union Minister Krishnam Raju as campaign committee convenor. He also appointed actor Shivaji, retired IFS officer DC Rosaiah as co-convenors while Tripuraneni Varaprasad as joint convenors. The members of the campaign committee are Karuna Gopal, former MLA MS Parthasarathy, coordinator Yadlapati Raghunath Babu, Joint Convenor P Raghuram.

BJP campaign committee convenor UV Krishnam Raju said that film actors will tour the State in three teams. The first team comprises of Banuchander, Suresh. Sarat Babu and Shivaji are in the second team while the rest will be led by Kota Srinivasa Rao and Jeevitha.
