Nanded express dashed school bus killing more than 20 school students.

In a drastic train accident that occurred on Thursday at Masipeta in Chegunta mandal in Medak district in which more than 20 studnets reportedly lost their lives.

Kakatiya Techno School bus from Toofran dashed Nanded passenger train coming from Nizamabad to Hyderabad at a unmanned level crossing. Sources said that more than 20 school students have lost their lives and many of them are said to be serious. It is said that nearly 30 school students are in the bus at the time of accident.

• Telangana Ministers Mahinder Reddy, Jagadeeswar Reddy, Padma Rao rushes while Minister Harish Rao to Kompalli Balaji Hospital.
• Chief Minister K Chandrasekhkara Rao express shock over the bus-train accident. He directed the official to extend the best possible medical care. He is in touch with the Railway officials. He ordered an inquiry into the incident.

• MP Jitender Reddy questions over non-existance of level crossing gate when the Medak district train accident came up for discussion in Lok Sabha. A statement will be issued in Lok Sabha today at 3pm.

• Kakatiya Techno school correspondent Jitender received heart attack after learning the news of the bus accident.
• Four students are being shifted from RR hospital to Secunderabad Yashoda Hospital. Six students are already under treatment at Yashoda hospital.
Latest information says that there are 38 students in the bus at the time of accident.
• Deceased identified are Bhuvana, Viwshnu, Suman, Mahesh, Vamsi all are from Islampur, Razia, Vaheed from Krishnapur, Vidya, Charan, Divya from Gundetepalli, Varun, Sruthi from Venkatayapalli, Bikshapai (driver and Danush (cleaner).

• The driver of the bus is a temporary employee
• Heavy traffic jam is witness at the site of the accident with the people pouring in from the neighbouring villages. The traffic was held up to a radius of 5 km on the NH 44.
Medak Collector reports:
• 13 students were died at the accident spot while 7 in hospital while undergoing treatment. Official sources said the death toll is 20 as of now and 15 injured students are being treated. Three students escaped safely in the accident. The total number of students in the bus are 38.

There are 12,582 unmanned railway crossing in the country. The chronology of the events:1. May 19, 2014-UP State Minister Satairam Yadav along with two died at Khalpha in UP unmanned level crossing.2. May 9, 2014- Gorakhpur 13 persons belonging to a marriage jeep dashed.3. September 26, 2012- Sivan in Bihar incident where Howrah-Kagi Gudam express dashed a college bus in which 9 engineering students killed.4. March 20, 2012- Train dashed a mini train at 296 km way from Lucknow in UP killing 15 persons.5. February 12, 2012: Train dashed a vehicle at Kamarup in Assom in which three persons were killed and 50 injured. 6. December 19, 2012- Sankarpur in Medak district in Andhra Pradesh where Indoor-Yashwantpur express dashed a lorry in which many injured.
• The father of Vaheed and Razia died of cardiac arrest after he came to know the news of the accident.
• Jagan Mohan Reddy visit the site of accident and consoles the family members of those deceased..
• Agitated over the incident, the relatives and the people of those three villages showered stones in which some police personnel were injured.
Telangana Government announces Rs.5 lakh ex-gratia:
Telangana Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs.5 lakhs to the kith and kin of those deceased. Telangana Minister Harish Rao announced that a railway gate will be installed within a week. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy faulted the Railway authorities for not installing a gate at the site of accident that took the innocent lives. He demanded the railway authorities to arrange a gate immediately. Meanwhile Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao is visiting Yashoda hospital.
Union Government announces Rs.2 lakh ex-gratia
The Union Minister for Railways Sadananda Gowda announced Rs.2 lakh ex-gratia to the families of the victims and Rs.1 lakh to those injured. TRS Members in Lok Sabha objected for his announcement for which Sadananda Gowda said that is only an ex-gratia but not compensation.
TBJP State president Kishan Reddy moots counselling to drivers
Telangana BJP state unit present G Kishan Reddy after visiting Yashoda hospital appealed the Chief Ministers of two States to take up steps not to recur such incidents. He wanted that counselling should be given to drivers and mount pressure on the Centre for compensation to the families.

Jagan demands
Jagan speaking to media said that three accidents took place which was totally neglected by the Railways. He demanded the Railway to install gates immediately failing so, the State Government should take up the issue. He said that the local have staged dharnas thrice but neglected. He wanted them to take steps for arresting such incidents in future.
Prime Minister expresses shock:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock over the incident. He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family. All the phones belonging to Kakatiya Techno School are switched off. The Kakatiya Group Chairman Seetaram went into underworld.

Yashoda hospital releases medical bulletin
Yashoda hospital authorities have released medical bulletin. The authorities said that 20 students are being treated at the hospital while seven of them are said to be serious. The health conditions of nine students are stable. Four of the students are being treated on ventilators.

Jana Sena chief Pawan calls on:
Jana Sena chief and cine actor Pawan Kalyan called on the students undergoing treatment at Yashoda hospital. He was deeply disturbed over the incident and wanted the government not to limit it to financial assistance but to see the safety of the students.

RDO Vanajadevi is enquiry officer: An inquiry into the accident will be conducted by RDO Vanajadevi

Kakatiya School group chairman Seetharami Reddy responds:
Kakatiya Techno School group chairman Seetharami Reddy reacting over the incident expressed apologies to the parents. He said that the bus is in good condition and the school is running in accordance with the laid down rules. He faulted the railways for the cause of accident and added that the students are like his own children.
