‘Nagaram will be developed as a model village’, says Neetu Kumari Prasad

East Godavari District Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad said that Nagaram village will be developed as a model village.

The Collector held a review meeting with GAIL authorities and Rural Development officials on the steps to be taken in Nagram village including basic amenities. She ordered the officials concerned to prepare and submit reports in this direction.

Neetu Kumari Prasad said that following the directions of the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, a team has been formed with four Directors. The team will visit the village and submit a report on the steps to be taken in making Nagram a role model village. Basing on their report, GAIL will make an action plan’, she said.

The District Collector said that the Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa will hand over compensation to the tune of Rs.1.02 crore to those who lost vehicles and agricultural produce.

It may be recalled here that a major blast occurred on June 27 in a gas pipeline at Nagaram village of Mamidikuduru mandal of East Godavari in which 15 persons were killed and 50 more injured.
