Mohanty and Sarma appointed as advisors to Governor

Retired IAS officers APVN Sarma and AK Mohanty were appointed as administrative advisors to Governor ESL Narasimhan. The Centre has released the orders appointing them on the recommendations of the Governor since two States have been formed. They will assume charge on Wednesday.
APVN Sarma was 1974 batch IAS officer. Born on October 20, 1949, he was selected to services after completion of his engineering and worked as collector in Nalgonda, Guntur and Warangal. He worked as CMD of Singareni for five years, Executive Officer of TTD, Special secretary to Social Welfare Department. He went to Central services in 2008 and retired in 2009.
AK Mohanty belongs to 1975 IAS officer from Odisha and held important positions in the State and worked as DGP for two terms and retired in 2010.
