‘Driver is not on phone call when the accident took place‘, says GRP

The Secunderabad Government Railway Police which are investigating in the Masaipeta Kakatiya School bus tragedy that claimed the lives of 18 school children said that the driver is not on phone call when the bus hit the Nanded Passenger train.

The driver Bikhsapati Goud who too died on the ill-fated day established that he had all the papers in place. The police found no fault as the fitness condition of the bus as well as the driver is in tact. The GRP SP S Chandrasekhar Reddy said that though they have not closed the case but comes to conclusion that the accident took place only due the negligence of the driver.

It may be recalled here that a school bus from Kakatiya Techno School but hit the Nanded passenger train in which 18 children were dead along with the driver and helper. The SC Railways has appointed a three member committee to look into the issue is likely to submit report in the coming days.
