Masaipet Nanded-Techno School bus accident victims given ex-gratia

The Telangana Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy and Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Sunday handed over an ex-gratia amount of Rs.7 lakhs.
The cheques were given to each of the families of 14 school children that were killed in the Nanded passenger train-school bus collusion incident on July 24 at Masaipet in Medak district. It may be noted here that the State Government has given Rs.5 lakhs while the rest of Rs.2 lakhs by the Indian Railways.
The families of the injured children would also be given compensation of Rs.1 lakh each by the State Government and equal amount by the Railways along with Rs.1 lakh each under the insurance schemes, said Harish Rao.
Speaking to them on the occasion, the Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said that the government would help the victim families in every possible manner. He said that the medical expenditure for super-speciality treatment of the injured children was being taken care of.
Four children still critical:
Yashoda Hospital at Secunderabad in a medical bulletin said that the condition of Prashanth, Varun Goud, Vaishnavi and Tarun are still very critical and Sravani and Sharat are in critical condition. The condition of Shiva Kumar and Nithusha is stable and under The 12 children who were stable were shifted to hospital general recovery wards on Sunday.
