  • Cine actor Ali to contest from Rajahmundry
    RAJANAGARAM (Rajahmundry): Cine comedy actor Ali speaking to press said that he will contest from Rajahmundry if people invites him. He was here for participating in Godavari Engineering College function. He said that he had an invitation to contest from Telananga too.
  • Jai Samaikhyandra Party to support third alternative at CentreVIJAYAWADA: Chief of Jai Samaikhyandhra Party N Kiran Kumar Reddy said on Saturday that his party would support the third alternative. Kiran Reddy added that the party would include the amendment of Article 3 in its election manifesto. A majority of the third alternative members are against the bifurcation of the State. The CPI (M) has even included in its manifesto that it would work for the amendment of Article 3, he said.
  • TRS president to contest form Gajwel
    SANGAREDDY: Telangana Rashtra Samithi said that party president K Chandrasekhara Rao would contest from Gajwel Assembly constituency. Party district affairs in-charge K Rajaiah Yadav said this at Siddipet. However, he did not clarify whether KCR would contest from Medak Lok Sabha seat stating that the party leadership was yet to take a final call.

    HYDERABAD: Governor ESL Narasimhan has directed the official to complete all formalities on all key issues f the State reorganization in a systematic, fair and transparent manner by May 15. The process should be completed well before June 2 the appointed day when two States and elected governments would be in place.

    SAMARLKOTA: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was accorded a rousing reception in Samarlkota town on Saturday. On the eve of his campaigning for civic body elections, Jagan got down from the vehicle and interacted with a few people. Braving the scorching sun, people of different age groups rounded him and greeted him with smiles. Jagan urged them to cast their vote for the YSRC in the ensuring elections, so that he could address all their problems . Though he had not made any speech, he told people that their vote could bring them ‘Rajanna Rajyam.’ The road show proceeded towards Peddapuram town.

  • Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao has confirmed that he would join Telugu Desam party soon. He worshipped at Venkateswara temple in Tirumala during the VIP break today. Speaking to presspersons later, Sambasiva Rao lamented that he was treated as an outsider by the Congress party. He said that the people of the State are aspiring to see Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister again.
