  • Former Minister Thota Narasimham joins TDP
    Former Minister Thota Narasimham on Friday joined the TDP in presence of Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He is the sixth minister of former Kiran Kumar Reddy to quit the party in the recent times. Former Minister DL Ravindrfa Reddy will be joining TDP on March 25.
  • Mantralayam Mutt head dead
    MANTRALAYAM: The chief pontiff and head of Sri Raghavendra Mutt in Mantralayam, Sri Suyateendra Teertha passed away here on Friday. He was suffering from old age related health problems. His body was kept at Mutt complex in the morning for his disciples and devotees to pay their last respects. Following the funeral rites as per the Mutt tradition, he was buried at Brindavanam on the Mutt premises.
  • Kandula brothers join TDP
    KADAPA: Former MLA Kandula Sivananda Reddy and his brother Kandula Rajamohan Reddy quit the Congress and joined Telugu Desam Party in presence of it’s president Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Thursday.
  • 11 PGMET rankers under scanner
    VIJAYAWADA: The committee appointed by Governor in the alleged paper leak in the Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test 2014 has isolated 11 rankers for further investigation. Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education Chairman L Venugopla Reddy said that these rankers who graduated from donation collages outside the State needed to be probed. He said that the committee will be submitting a report to the Governor.
  • Police seize 43 LPG regulators from YSRCP office
    KADAPA: 43 LPG regulators were seized from the YSRCP office at Yerraguntla by election observer Lakshman Kumar on Friday. Kadapa DSP C Rajeswar Reddy told to media that a case was registered on Sudarshan, an employee working in the YSRCP office.
  • Congress bus yatra begins from Srikakulam
    SRIKAKULAM: Congress State leaders bus yatra began from Srikakulam on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy said that a white paper will be issued by the Congress party on the welfare schemes introduced during the last ten years. He said that new industries will come up in Seemandhra in the next coming ten years. He assured that they will shoulder the responsibility of developing Srikakulam in all fields.
  • Enforcement Directorate files charge sheet on ECIL former General Manager
    HYDERABAD: Enforcement Directorate on Friday filed a charge-sheet on the former General Manager of ECIL GNV Satyanarayana Murty in disproportionate assets case. The agency said that Rs.45 lakhs worth of assets including movable and immovable were seized.
  • Congress MLA Veera Siva Reddy to join TDP
    KADAPA: G Veera Siva Reddy, sitting Congress MLA from Kamalapuram constituency and a close associate of former chief minister and Jai Samaikyandhra Party president N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Thursday announced that he would join the TDP. Speaking to reporters at Proddatur, he said he would meet the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in three days and join the party.
  • YSRCP MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy in police custody
    Rayadurgam YSRCP MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy was arrested by police on Friday on the charges of wooing the voters. They conducted searches at his residence.

    Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be meeting Prime Ministerial candidates Narendra Modi at 4pm on Friday. He is currently in Ahmedabad along with BJP leader Somu Veera Raju.

    TDP leader and cine actor Babu Mohan is eying on TRS. He is in touch with TRS leaders and will be joining the party after March 26 according to sources. He contested from Anthol in 1994 and 1999 on TDP and even worked as Minister. He tasted defeat in 2004 and 2009.
  • Bus yatra of Seemandhra Congress party begins at Srikakulam. Congress leaders will tour the Seemandhra districts to revive the enthusiasm among party workers.
  • Telugu Desam Legislature Party organizing secretary Kishan Prasad passed away after suffering a heart attack. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu condoled the demise of Kishan Prasad.
