  • No takers for Congress ticket in Yellamanchili
    VISAKHAPATNAM: Not even a single nomination was filed in Yellamanchili on behalf of Congress Party for the Narsipatnam Municipal elections. On Friday, the last day for filing of nominations, only seven filed their nomination on behalf of the Congress and none at Yellamanchili while the number of nominations filed by TDP and YSRCP candidates indicated that the fight would be between the two.
  • No relief to IAS officer Sabyasachi Ghosh
    HYDERABAD: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Friday refused to stay the re-allotment of charge to Industries Secretary Sabyasachi Ghosh that it is not a fit case for any interim relief. Ghosh had challenged the removal of mines subject form his charge and was instead given the leather and sugar in the same industries wing by the State Government. The bench comprising BV Rao and Ranjana Chowdary, however directed the State Government to file its counter within four week and posted the case to April.

    NARSAPUR: Narsapur MLA Kothapalli Subbarayudu on Friday joins in YSRCP in the presence of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
  • No loss with Pawan party', says Digvijay Singh
    AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh said that there is no loss to the party with the actor Pawan Kalyan proposed party. On CPI, he said that it is a reliable one and in earlier also Congress worked with CPI.He said that Congress sincerely worked hard for justice of the two regions. Division of a State is not an easy process and any division is sorrowful. He said that Congress had given a commitment and stood for it by formation Telangana State.
  • Bellini Chandrasekhar joins YSRCP
    Viziangaram former ZPCC Chairman Bellani Chandrasekhar joined YSRCP along with 40 sarpanches, former MPTCs in the presence of party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. Chandrasekhar is a close associate of former PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana.

    Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao said that Congress will not have even two MPs if they insult the people of Telangana. He said that Congress had not carved Telangana on its own.

    Cine writer and actor Posani Krishna Murali said that in the present political situation, YSRCP is better and my vote to Jagan. He said once he joined the Praja Rajyam and remains alone after it merged with Congress. He ruled out of joining with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena party.
  • Telangana Congress MPs write to Sonia asking her to drop Renuka Chowdary
    Telangana Congress MPs in a letter to AICC president Sonia Gandhi urged her to drop Renuka Chowdary from the party election committee. They alleged that she spoke on the Telangana Congress leader who fought for separate Telangana in an insulting manner. They expressed dis-satisfaction over her appointment in the Congress election committee.   • ZPTC and MPTC elections will be conducted in two spells
    The Election Commission in an affidavit to the Supreme Court on Friday informed that it will conduct ZPTC and MPTC elections on April 6 and 7 in two spells.
  • Dr GVK Reddy was presented Award
    Dr GVK Reddy was presented 'Life Time Achievement Award 2014' for his outstanding contribution to the Aviation Sector. The Aviation Awards 2014 were organized by SAP Media and audited by international audit firm E&Y. GVK has been at the helm of the Public Private Partnership Initiative in India and has developed two world class airports at Mumbai and Bengaluru, in addition to airports in Indonesia.
  • TDP, YSRCP supporters clashes at Jagayyapeta Election Nomination Center
    Jagayyapeta, Krishna District: Party supporters of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) clashed at the Jagayyapeta Election Nomination Center. The Nomination Center got crowded with a number of candidates coming to the venue along with their supporters as today is the last date for filing nomination papers for the upcoming Municipal elections. Policemen are deployed to send away the clashing supporters.
