‘State to get another 500 MBBS seats’, says Kamineni Srinivas

Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas participating at a meet organized in Vijayawada on Sunday by AP Medical and Health joint with Ayush hospitals announced the same. He said that the government with the help of Solicitor General could get the extension of date up to August 31 though the time has elapsed for the MCI was over.
Kamineni Srinivas said that the MCI will visit Gayatri Education Society and Geetam Medical College and for allotment of another 150 seats each. KIIS took has taken Srikakulam Great Eastern Medical college and would get another 100 seats. There is every possibility of getting 50 seats to NRI Hospital at Chinakakain and Katuri Medical College in Guntur.
The AIIMS that is allotted to the State will be on line with that one at Pondicherry. Shortly, Super-specialty hospitals will be inaugurated at Vijayawada and Ananthapuram at a cost of Rs.150 crore’, said the Minister.
