'Lok Satta is the real alternative to customary political parties', says State president Katari

March 17, 2014 - Hyderabad

With the credibility of the political parties seen as a deciding factor by the people in the upcoming elections, Lok Satta Party sees that it would be a third alternative to the customary real political parties.

Party state president Katari Srinivasa Rao said that people are now looking at reconstruction of Telangana and Seemandhra after bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He said that LSP is increasingly seen as an alternative to the main political parties for achieving the same. Lok Satta Party is busy in door-to-door campaign in 14 Assembly constituencies in Telangana and 11 in Seemandhra.

Srinivasa Rao said that the people are fed up with traditional corrupt and dynasty-based political parties and are rallying behind Lok Satta Party as an alternative for its credibility.

Dr. Jayaprakash Narayana kick-started his campaign at Kukatpally with 'Eela Bheri' in Hyderabad where he challenged 293 MLAs to demonstrate better performance as MLAs. Party leaders and cadre are confident that the trend set by people of Kukatpally in the last general elections would be repeated. Lok Satta garnered 10 per cent vote share in Hyderabad, five per cent in urban areas and two per cent across the State in the last elections.
