Kiran Kumar Reddy hints of drastic decision soon

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy participating in the debate on the AP State Reorganization Bill 2013 hinted that he will be taking a drastic decision after the completion of his speech.

Kiran Kumar Reddy said that it was unfortunate for him to be the Chief Minster when a decision he to take to choose between the party and the people. He admitted that he became the Chief Minister at the mercy of AICC president Sonia Gandhi. He was very critical of the party leadership setting aside the constitutional conventions and traditions in referring the Bill to the State Assembly. Questioning for not following the laid down conventions and procedures, he said that the Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh too said that the Bill would be referred to the Assembly twice, once for resolution. He said that he had addressed a letter to the Prime Minister requesting him to following the conventions.

Jana Reddy questions

Once again the vertical spilt in congress on regional basis surfaced on the speech of Kiran Kumar Reddy. Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy revolting against the Chief Minster wanted to know whether he was speaking in the capacity of the leader of the House or as an MLA. He said that Telangana MLAs are not prepared to become a party to his claims if he made in the capacity as leader of the House. TRS members too joined him on the issued. Jana Reddy cited an observation of the Supreme Court that the Parliament was vested with the power to create a new Sates and was no scope for voting on clauses, he said.
