Govenment appoints Kambampati Ramamohan Rao as the Andhra Pradesh Special representative in Delhi


June 17, 2014 - Hyderabad

    Telugu Desam Party State vice-president and former Rajya Sabha member Khampati Rammohana Rao is appointed as the special representative for Andhra Pradesh at New Delhi.

    Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao on Monday issued orders to this effect. He was introduced to various secretaries in the Secretariat by the Chief Secretary. He will coordinate the movement of files at Delhi level. He will enjoy the State Cabinet Minister status.

    K Rammohan Rao was born in 1958 at Pedaautapalli in Krishna district is the TDP member from the day of the party inception. He was the tour programmer of the TDP founder president NT Rama Rao and was appointed as Chairman of Police Housing Corporation during NTR rule. He was the chairman of Small Scale Industries in 1994 when TDP again came to power and was Rajya Sabha member during 2001-06.

    To assume charge on June 18

    Rammohana Rao will assume charge as special representative in Delhi on June 18 at AP Bhavan, New Delhi. His appointment gained significance when he has to play a key role in the issues of special status for Andhra Pradesh, change of design of Polavaram project along with implementation of various issues pertaining to the AP State Reorganization Act etc.,
