- TDP MLA Kagita Venkata Rao admitted at a hospital following heart attack
TDP MLA Kagita Venkata Rao was admitted at a hospital in Masulipatnam following cardiac stroke and the relatives have been advised to shift him to Vijayawada. Venkata Rao was admitted at a private hospital in Vijayawada and his condition is stated to be serious. It is said that he was deeply upset in not getting a ministerial berth.
- Errabelli Dayakara Rao appointed as Leader of Opposition
HYDERABAD: TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakara Rao has been appointed as the leader of Opposition for TDP party in Telangana Assembly. Revanth Reddy and Sandra Veera Veeraiah have been appointed as Deputy Floor leaders while T Prakash Goud is the Whip. Sainna, M Kishan Reddy and Teegela Krishna Reddy are the secretaries while Maganti Gopinath is the treasurer.

- Bandaru Satyanarayana resigns for State vice-president post
VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam TDP MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana while expressing his dissatisfaction over his non selection in the ministry resigned for the TDP State vice-president post. He said though he was not given the minister portfolio, he will continue in the party.
- Court serves notices to Telangana Chief Minister
MACHILIPATNAM: Second additional magistrate Court here on Monday issued notices to K Chandrasekhara Rao, Chief Minister for Telangana State to appear before him on July 21. The summons was issued while dealing with a petition defaming Brahmin community by disputable comments.
- ICET results announced
The ICET 2014 examinations that were conducted on May 23, 2014 for admission into MCA and MBA programmes were announced on Monday. The Kakaitya University has conducted the examination on behalf of AP State Council for Higher Education. The in-charge Vice Chancellor of Kakaitya University released the results. 1,42,462 candidates have registered for the examination while was attended by 1,29,529. As many as 1,19,756 have gone through successfully.
- Protem speaker administers oath to MLAs
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday took oath as MLA. All his cabinet ministers and MLAs took oath of office. The protem Speaker K Jana Reddy administered the oath of office of secrecy.
- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister enquires with the students
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister met the students from Andhra Pradesh and enquired about the incident. They were kept at a hotel in Mandi and may be recalled that out of 48 students, 24 students were washed away.
- Union Minister Smriti Irani enquires:
Union Minister Smriti Irani telephoned the principal of the Vignan Jyothi College principal and students and assured all help. She said that directions have been given to the machinery in this direction. They are getting a report from the State on the incident and added arrangements are on the way to send back the students to Hyderabad.
