    'Loan waiver is not an easy task', says Minister Patti Pulla Rao

    Minister for Agriculture, Patti Pulla Rao said that the 'Loan waiver' is not an easy task and said that the Reserve Bank of India and the Central Government does not appear to cooperate with the implementation of the scheme as they opine that it will cause harm to the credit policy. The Agricultural Minister said that the Centre is hesitating with the fear with the Maharashtra and Bihar governments may too insist for implementation of the loan waiver in their States. He said that the committee appointed will submit a report by June 22 and the government will take a decision.

    Kaluva Srinivasulu is the Government Chief Whip

    Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu selected Kaluva Srinivasulu as the Government Whip. Srinivasulu was elected as MLA from Rayadurgam from Anantapur district. Naidu selected Chintamaneni Prabhakar (Dander), Koona Ravi Kumar (Amadalavalasa) Meda Mallikharjun Reddy (Rajampet) and Yamani Bala (Singamala) as government whips. The list was handed over to the Assembly secretariat along with the Government Chief Secretary.

    Medical PG Degree and diploma results announced

    VIJAYAWADA: The Controller of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences in a release said on Friday that the results held for Post Graduate Degree and diploma in last April/May was announced. He said that the results are posted on the website: http://ntruhs.ap.nic.in.

    Intermediate second year advanced results on June 25

    HYDERABAD: The second year intermediate advanced results will be announced either on June 25 or 26 and a couple of days after, the first year results will be announced according to sources.

    'Cancelling of PPAs are in order', says Government

    The State Government in a report to the Governor defended the action of canceling of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) .The Government said that the agreements with the Andhra Pradesh Genco along with four Discoms is in order since the agreements have not been approved by the Government, it reportedly told to the Governor.

    CPI demands roll back of increased train fares

    VIJAYAWADA: CPI (M) Andhra Pradesh secretary P Madhu said that it is most unfortunate to hike the railway charges and demanded immediate roll back. The party staged protest programmes. The CPI accused Modi government is ruling the private government in the guise of 'Welfare Government'. Madhu said that the hike is an example of the government neglecting the welfare of the common people. He also demanded the Telugu Desam Party to answer to the people on the hike of railway charges. He said that protests programmes will be taken up across the State.

    Railway SP files in CAT challenging his transfer orders

    VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada Railway SP Sham Prasada Rao knocked the doors of Common Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging the transfer orders. It may be recalled that the DGP Ramudu issued transfer orders by fax on June 12 asking the SP to handover the charge to the Railway Additional DG and report at the DGP office. The counsel for the government arguing the case said that the SP has not been transferred but asked him to report to the DGP as he was facing some charges. The case was posted to next week.

    With the increase of Train fares by Centre, the revised will be as under:Hyderabad to Delhi: First AC Rs.4375, Second AC – Rs.2545, Third AC – Rs. 1745, Sleeper class – Rs. 670.
    Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam : First AC Rs.2535, Second AC – Rs.1500, Third AC – Rs.1055, Sleeper class – Rs. 405.
    Secunderabad to Tirupati – First AC Rs. 2405, Second AC -Rs.1430, Third AC-Rs.1005 and Sleeper Class-Rs.385.
    Hyderabad - Chennai –First AC – Rs.2695, Second AC – Rs.1590, Third AC – Rs.1115 and Sleeper Class – Rs. 425.
    Hyderabad to Mumbai – First AC –Rs. 2615, Second AC – Rs.1545, Third AC – Rs.1070 and Sleeper Class – Rs.395.

    PG Medical Counseling notification issued

    VIJAYAWADA: The NTR University of Health Sciences has on Friday issued notification for 2014-15 academic year for admissions into Medical PG (Degree/Diploma). The counselling for open category will be held on June 25 and 26 and for reserved category on June 27 and 28 and for service category on June 29 and 30 according to Rector Dr.Ramanamma and the details are available in the website.

    'Chandrababu Naidu is doing injustice to Telangana', says Jeevan Reddy

    KARIMNAGAR: Telangana Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy criticized the TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as doing injustice to the Telangana people. He said that they would not keep quite if Andhra Pradesh Government does injustice to them. He said that after attending the needs of the Common Capital, the left over power has to be distributed in between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States.

    Telangana Chief Minister held review meeting on Loan Waiver scheme

    HYDERABAD: Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Friday held a review meeting on Loan Waiver scheme. The meeting gained importance at a time when there is a demand mounting up on KCR government for unconditional loan waiver. He sought a report from the officials from the Financial department on the burden it will pose on the State Government. It appears that the Chief Minister would announce after a report from the officials.

    KCR also held a review meeting on the PPA dispute and wanted them to retaliate the Andhra Pradesh State Government decision. He directed the Principal secretary, Finance to stay at Delhi for some more time for a reply from the Central Government. It may be noted here that several political parties in Telangana are opposing the AP government's decision.

    'Rs.2 per 20 liter mineral water', says Panchayat Raj Minister Ayyanna Patrudu

    HYDERABAD: The Minister for Panchayat Raj Ch.Ayyannapatrudu said that 20liters of mineral water would be distributed to every house at a price of Rs.2. He said it will be implemented in 5,200 villages in the first phase. He said that NTR Sujala scheme will be implemented form October 2 and added that a seven member committee is being appointed to frame modalities on the scheme.

    YSRCP demands immediate roll back of railway fares

    HYDERABAD: YSRCP leader Umareddy Venkateswarulu reacting immediately after the announcement of the Centre hiking Railway fare demanded immediate roll back. He said that it is not correct to take a decision without any debate. He said that the Centre is burdening the common passengers and hiking the fare will transport charges will further burden the common people.

    2,500 acres land required for establishing AIIMS ', says Minister Harshavardhan

    NEW DELHI: Union Minister Harsha Vardhan said that for establishing AIIMS in Andhra Pradesh, there is a need of 2500 acres land. He said that the work will being immediately after acquiring the land. He suggested the Andhra Pradesh Government to complete the acquisition of land within a month.

    K Srinivasulu appointed as Assembly Chief Whip

    HYDERABAD: Rayadurgam MLA Kalva Srinivasulu was appointed as the Assembly whip. TDP MLAs Chintamaneni Prabhakar, Koona Ravi Kumar, Yamini Bala, Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy were appointed as whips.
