- Teenage girl allegedly gang raped
HYDERABAD: A fourteen year old girl was allegedly raped by six persons at Babanagar in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Police arrested four of the accused and are on hunt of the rest. According to police, the girl that went on missing since April 4 was sexually assaulted by a youth along with his five friends. Chandrayangutta police booked a case.
- Chandrababu Naidu plans to appoint advisers in key departments
HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is planning to appoint advisors in key departments. It is reported that he decided to appoint two advisers to the finance department. The names of senior IAS Officer CS Rao and finance expert D Kotayya are under his consideration. The name of another retired IAS Rachel Chaterjee who once was the Chairman and MD of AP Transco is also under his consideration and she may be given the agriculture department. In education department, retired IAS officer Bala Subramanayam may be appointed.
- Fight for withdrawal of ordinance on Polavaram', TCLP
HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress Legislative Party (TCLP) in its meeting on Wednesday decided to take legal recourse on Polavaram project. The meeting resolved and demanded the Centre to withdraw the Ordinance. It condemned for not being made Telangana as member in Polavaram Board. The TCLP decided and demanded the TRS to fulfill all its elections promises.
- Telangana Council meet for three days
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Legislative Council will meet for three days. The Business Advisory Meet decided to this effect. Thanks giving for the Governor's speech will be taken up on Thursday and Friday and on 14th, resolutions will be passed on Polavaram, Himachal Pradesh incidents and martyrs.
The Telangana Assembly sessions will be conducted upto June 14. A discussion will be taken up on the Governor's speech on Thursday and Friday and tributes will be paid to Telangana Martyrs along with a resolution opposing the Polavaram ordinance, condolences on the Himachal Pradesh incident.

HYDERABAD: APNGOs president Ashok Babu has demanded the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to honour all the promises to the employees he has given at the time of elections. He said that the employees will play a key role in the formation of Navyandhra Pradesh. He said that there were surplus of Andhra employees in Telangana and the Telangana leaders are giving wrong information on the number of employees, he said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu unveiled a 100 day plan to bring back the administration on the track. He said that he would be releasing white papers after the Assembly session that begins on June 19. He said that he would prepare the Budget by taking the people opinion.
- TDP Corporators stages dharna before GHMC head office
HYDERABAD: TDP Corporators led by floor leader S Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday staged a dharna at Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain's office in GHMC demanding immediate steps to improve sanitation works in the city in view of monsoon season. In a memorandum, they wanted initiatives to be stepped up across all the wards and nala cleaning taken up to avoid possibilities of diseases during the season.
- Illegal refilling LPG cylinders – Police held six persons
HYDERABAD: The West Zone police on Tuesday arrested six persons on charges of illegally refilling LPG cylinders and seized 90 gas cylinders along with filling machine. Amongst the arrested persons are Mohd Ghouse Shaik Ayub , Mohd Ahmed Shareef and Abdul Sattar all from S. R. Nagar, Venkat Ravikant of Langer Houz and Md. Khaiser Bin Masood of Golconda. They registered six different cases under Section 285 and 286 and Explosives Act 1884 and Essential Commodities Act against them.
- Injustice done to Bandaru Satyanarayana', says Ganta Srinivasa Rao
VISAKHAPATNAM: Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao admitted that injustice was done to TDP senior leader and Pendurty MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana. He said that he will discuss the issue with the Chief Minister. He held discussion with him at latter's residence. It may be noted that the supporters of Bandaru have prepared to tender resignations for sarpanch and MPTC posts.

HYDERABAD: TDP leader Errabelli Dayakara Rao demanded a time bound programme from the TRS to fulfil the promises it has given to the people. On the Governor's speech, he said that it is like speaking of TRS manifesto. He said that the farmers are put to confusion for lack of clarity on loan waiver scheme.
