Chief Minister condoles IAF officer’s death
HYDERABAD: The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has condoled the death of Indian Air Force officer, Dumpa Laxmana Nayudu in a helicopter crash in Uttar Pradesh recently. He conveyed to the bereaved family members.
Red sanders logs seized
CHITTOOR: The Madanapalli rural police on Sunday seized red sanders logs worth over Rs.20 lakhs along an SUV carrying them at Cheekalabailu locality on the outskirts of Madanapalli and nabbed one person.
CPI wants bank loans to tenant farmers
GUNTUR: The Communist Party of India State secretary K Ramakrishna on Sunday demanded that the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu take steps to provide bank loans to end travails of thousands of tenant farmers. He said that the government though was taking credit for rescheduling of farm loans, it failed to see through the misery of tenant farmers who were actually cultivating the land. ‘Not even a single farmer has been given fresh crop loan this kharif so far’, he said.
TBJP president Kishan Reddy seeks Interpol help
TIRUMALA: The senior BJP leader and TBJP State unit president G Kishan Reddy sees the need to seek the assistance of the Interpol agency in nabbing the international red sanders smugglers. Chandrababu Naidu deceived the State people
VISAKHAPATNAM: APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy speaking at a meeting in the city on Sunday said that TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu deceived the people of the State. The meeting was attended by MP KVP Ramachandra Rao, former APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana along with other leaders. He said that the Congress party would agitate for the injustice meted out the students of the State. Raghuveera Reddy said that dharna will be organized before Collectorates on August 4.

Government interference will not be there’, says Pattipati Narayana
VIZIANGARAM: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Pattipati Narayana said on Sunday there will not be any government interference in the hike of water charges of Municipalities and the decision lies with the respective municipalities. He said that an airport and Girijan University will be established in Viziangaram. The vacant posts in Municipalities will be filled up soon and the Centre has sanctioned Rs.50,000 crore funds for the development of municipalities.
YSRCP seeks High Court in Kurnool
ANANTHAPURAM: YSRCP leader and Uravakonda MLA Y Visweswara Reddy demanded the government to establish high court. He suggested the government to take up developmental works in lines with the recommendations of Sivaramakrishnan committee. YSRCP leaders demanded to establish State Capital in Rayalaseema in lines with the Sri Bagh agreement. They wanted to establish AIIMS, IIIT, Indian Services Centre and Central University.
