Nagari MLA seeks improved facilities at Government Hospital
CHITOOR: Nagari MLA R Roja wanted the government to take initiative in improving basic infrastructure facilities at Nagari Government Hospital. Speaking at a meeting with governing body of the hospital, she said that for the past three years, government has failed to allocate funds. She said that there are no additional facilities for the patients in the 100 beds hospital. The lack of ambulance facility is one of the major drawbacks to the hospital and charged the Chitoor MP Siva Prasad for not fulfilling his promise of providing an ambulance to the hospital.

TVS Chairman donates two wheeler
TIRUMALA: TVS Group Chairman Venu Srinivasan on Thursday donated a TVS Star City+ motorcycle to the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy which is believed to be the first piece in the new series was receied the TTD executive Officer MG Gopal. The cost of the motor cycle is around Rs.56,000.

Three red sanders smugglers held
CHITOOR: The Chitoor task force police arrested three notorious red sander smugglers with international links. The arrested are Markondan Lakshman of Mohre village of Manipur, Hamid Khan of Bangalore and Sayyed Peeran Mohammad Rafi of T.Nagar in Chennai at Nagari and Panjani areas in the district.

Excise Commissioner held video conference
HYDERABAD: The State Excise Commissioner SS Ravat held a video conference on Thursday with all the 13 districts officials and directed them to remove all the belt shops in the districts. The action came following the Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra expressed dissatisfaction over continuance of belt shops even though the same were banned by the Government.

ELIAP says that 64 companies are ready for investments
Electronic Industries Association of Andhra Pradesh (ELIAP) said that as many as 64 companies are ready for making investment in Hyderabad with a total investment of Rs.1200 crore.

ELIAP said that they would establish their plants immediately after allocation of lands for the companies. There are 64 companies under its purview and the delay in establishing is due not allotment of lands.

52 Inspectors promoted as DSPs
HYDERABAD: The DGP has on Thursday issued orders promoting 52 police inspectors to the cadre of Deputy Superintendent of Police in tune with the Supreme Court directions.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao urges KCR not to create crisis
HYDERABAD: Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Thursday appealed the Telangana Chef Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao not to create crisis on the nativity cut-off date. He said that KCR even now speaking like an agitator even in sitting in the Chief Minister’s chair. He wanted him not to provoke the people.

GHMC continues demolish drive
HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials on Thursday continued it drive in demolishing illegal constructions. They demolished buildings that were constructed in BL Nagar and Kukatpally.

SP Senthial Kumar transferred
ANANTHAPUR: Superintendent of Police N Senthial Kumar has been transferred and posted as SP of Nellore. In his place, Rajasekhar Babu currently working as urban SP, Tirupati has been posted. Senthil Kumar took the charge as SP here on December 2, 2013.

Centre will not keep quite on Telangana State decision’, says Social Welfare Minister
HYDERABAD: The Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu said that the decision of Telangana Government on nativity is a constitutional violation and the Centre will not keep quite. He said that the State Government would wage a legal battle on Telangana government. He appealed the Governor to immediately intervene in the issue.

Three IPS officers transferred
RAJAHMUNDRY: Three top police officers have been transferred from the district. District SP G Vijaya Kumar has been transferred as SP, Krishna district and in his place DCP Ravi Prakash from Vijayawada has been posted.
Rajahmundry Urban district SP T Ravi Kumar Murty has been posted and transferred to CID at Hyderabad and in his place, West Godavari SP S Hari Krishna was posted.
Kakinada APSP 3rd Battalion Commandant Rajesh Kumar was posted as Guntur SP (urban) and J Prabhakara Rao, SP Krishna district has been posted.
