A woman Software engineer from AP suspects to have ended her life
CHENNAI: A software engineer from Andhra Pradesh Kurula Teja was found dead in a hotel in Velachery and the police suspect that she might have committed suicide. She was working for an IT Company and booked a room on July 15 where she might have consumed position. The police are investigating.

KGH doctor along with two ward boys booked by ACB
VISAKHAPATNAM: ACB has booked a case against Dr.G Ramakrishna, Assistant Surgeon along with two ward boys for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs.40,000 from a patient. The incident was brought to the notice of the ACB during its surprise check on July 1 . The victims relatives have recorded the conversation of the entire episode on mobile and was handed over to the ACB.

CHITOOR: In a major breakthrough, the police on Tuesday night arrested red sanders smuggler Yagnam Chandrasekhar at Mungilipattu near Chandragiri and seized an SUV and 15 red sanders logs worthy over Rs.8 lakhs. Chandrasekhar is reportedly a close aide of notorious smuggler Gangi Reddy who was recently nabbed in Kadapa. He is allegedly involved in over 15 criminal cases in Chitoor district.

Anakapalli MP Avanti Srinivasa Rao seeks Special Status for 15 years
VISAKHAPATNAM: Anakapalli MP M.Srinivasa Rao urged the Central Government to extend the special status to the new State for 15 years and increase the grant for Polavaram multi-purpose project from Rs.250 crores to Rs.2,500 crore. HYDERABAD: RBI says that the moratorium and reschedule of loans will be only for drought and flood affected mandals. It said that the moratorium will be for one year and the reschedule for two years. There is no clarity on the reschedule of loans of all the farms. There is a possibility of rescheduling the loans in 575 mandals out of 661. The loans taken in the last kharif season 11,000 crores will be rescheduled. The State Government is seeking for loans taken in the Rabi season too.

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission on Wednesday announced that the elections for Nellore ZP will be held on July 20. It may be recalled that the election scheduled to be held on July 13 could not be done due to lack of quorum.

LED lights will replace in all Corporations in the State
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Narayana said that the State Government has decided to replace the existing lights with LED lights. He said with this 65 per cent power can be saved. He said that LED bulbs will be given to domestic purposes at a cost of Rs.10. said that the maintenance of LED lights will be taken up by the Central Government.

Belt shops in the State will be scrapped
Minister for Excise Kollu Ravindra efforts are on to remove the belt shops in the State. He said that 1205 cases were booked and 1180 persons were arrested as a measure to remove belt shops. He said that a toll free no. 040-2461 2222 has been created for lodging of complaints on belt shops.

Supreme Court to take up EAMCET counselling petition on 21st July
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India will take up a petition on July 21 filed by Telangana State Government seeking permission for postponement of EAMCET counselling. The Court directed the Andhra Pradesh Government to file a implead petition and a decision will be taken after hearing the arguments of Andhra Pradesh State Government. Two more arrested in Subhadarsi chit fund scam
VIJAYAWADA: The police on Wednesday arrested two more persons involved in Subhadrashi Chit fund scam according to ACP Lavanya Lakshmi. Police said that the Chit Fund firm is due to pay Rs.20 crore to its depositors. The police said that 120 persons have lodged complaints and found that Rs.9 crore scam in it. The ACP said that the police have identified the assets of the Chit Fund management. It may be recalled that the Chit Fund have turned off their boards on Tuesday.

‘One loan a family will be waived’, says Chandrababu Naidu
DWARAKA TIRUMALA: The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that one loan for a family will be waived in the State. He said that the loans taken prior to April 2014 will be eligible for waiver. He said that the matter has been discussed with the RBI Governor and making efforts to convince him to re-schedule the loans. He said that the promises issued at the time of elections will be implemented.

Legend Cricket Sachin will be coming to Vijayawada
