GAIL CMD meets Chandrababu Naidu
HYDERABAD: Gas Authority of India Ltd., Chairman and Managing Director B.C.Tripati who met the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and reportedly assured him over the sanction of a slew of projects including LNG terminal at Kakinada. The CMD told Naidu that it would favourably consider three gas grid projects, between Srikakulam and Kakinada, Kakinada and Nellore via Hindupur.
Farmers stage demonstration demanding loan waiver
KADAPA: Farmers staged a demonstration before the Collectorate on Tuesday demanding the Chandrababu Naidu Government issue orders waiving of all types of loans as promised in the manifesto. AP Rythu Sangham district president T Rama Subba Reddy said that the farmers were stepped in debts as they lacked remunerative prices for their produce.
HPCL celebrates Foundation Day

CPI demands sanction of kharif loans
VISAKHAPATNAM: CPI State Council Assistant Secretary JV Satyanrayana Murty on Tuesday demanded the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to keep his election promise of sanctioning of kharif loans and immediately sanction loans to farms. Addressing a protest organized on the issue at Collectorate, he said that the State Government had announced waiver of loans, it had not happened till date. He said that the farmers were unable to avail of new loans and were forced to depend on money lenders at high rate of interest for agri needs.
Petroleum engineering course in KL University
VIJAYAWADA: The Vice Chancellor of KL University Dr.LSS Reddy on Tuesday said that the university has introduced Petroleum Engineering courses in the university. He said that the university is the only on in South India offering the course. He said that the university had a tie-up with ONGC, Shell, BPCL, HPCL companies on the key issues. The course details are available on the university website www.kluniversity.in.

MLA Chevireddy fires on Tirupati Urban SP
TIRUPATI: YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy on Tuesday fired on the Tirupati Urban SP Rajasekhara Babu. He said that he will be filing a defamation case against the SP for his alleged leakage of information to a Telugu newspaper on the issue of protocol. He said that he had not received any reply for his letter to the SP even after a week days.
