Court serves summons to Dwaraka Peetam Sankarcharaya Swaroopananda
INDORE: A local court here served summons to Dwaraka Peetam Sankarcharaya Swaroopananda to appear before it on August 8. The court dealing with a petition filed by a devotee Svasamgiya from Razwada said that Swaroopananda had made comments on Sai Babu that hurts the sentiments of Sai Baba devotees. The magistrate Deepak Pande issued the summons.

Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao meets President
NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Dr.Kodela Siva Prasada Rao met the President of India Pranab Mukherjee, vice president Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. ‘Educational committees will be revived’, says Minister Kollu Ravindra
VIJAYAWADA: For proper organization of schools in the district, the issue of reviving educational committees is under consideration, said Minister for BC welfare, excise Kollu Ravindra. He said that the issue will be discussed in the State Cabinet meet. He held a review meeting with the District Educational Officers of 13 districts on Wednesday here.
The Minister reminded that under the supervision of the district committees, the administration schools went on well. He said that hostels will be coordinated with the study circles for giving proper training to the unemployed youth. Special officers will be posted for this purpose, said Kollu Ravindra. Efforts will be made to increase the occupancy in BC hostels and a meeting would be held with the parents of the hoteliers once in two months.
Chandrababu Naidu gives green signal for new crop insurance scheme
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday gave green signal for the revised crop insurance scheme. With the revised scheme, though the premium is a little higher will extend various benefits and it will be introduced on an experimental basis in three districts from this Kahrif season. A cluster of villages will be made as a unit and crop cutting experiments will be conducted at eight places in a cluster and will be taken into consideration for claims of insurance.
