Mee Seva services in Postal Offices
VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakha Regional Post Master General Saradha Sampat said on Tuesday that Mee Seva and E-Seva services will be available at 16 main post offices in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Viziangaram and East Godavari from July 11. The Regional PMG said that logistic postal services are under expansion.
Telugu students bags four out of ten top ranks in JEE
Telugu students bagged four out of top ten ranks in the just announced JEE Main results. Three girls are among the four from the State. CBSE board on Tuesday night announced the results that offer admissions into the famous National Institute of Technology, International Institute of Information Technology. The test that was conducted on April 6 and nearly 12.50 lakh students appeared.
Parakala Prabhakar assumes as Communications Advisor
HYDERABAD: Parakala Prabhakar assumed office as the Communications Advisor to the State Government on Tuesday. He said that his main role was to facilitate two-way communication between he government and the people. He said that he would also be dealing with all communication from Andhra Pradesh government to other governments.
‘Harish Rao wants to derive political mileage’, alleges Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao.
HYDERABAD: AP Minister for Major Irrigation Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao accused his Telangana counterpart T Harish Rao of speaking irresponsibly and trying to derive political mileage on the controversy relating to increase in height of the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme anicut illegally by 15 cms by Karnataka. Speaking to media on Tuesday, he said that he had spoken to him over telephone on Tuesday and told him of the objections of the local farmers. He faulted Harish Rao for criticising Chandrababu Naidu and trying to provoke people. He also hit out at TRS government for creating a row over meeting drinking water needs in Krishna delta.
YSRCP chief to meet the President on civil polls
KADAPA: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said on Tuesday that he would lead a delegation of party leaders to the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprise them of the manipulation of municipal and ZPTC elections by the TDP.
It may be recalled here that Jagan Mohan Reddy earlier met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and petitioned of the acts of the Telugu Desam Party in the civic polls.
Sivaramakrishnan Committee to make multiple suggestions
ANANTHAPUR: The Sivaramakrishnan Committee that was appointed by the Central Government to identify and suggest the new capital for Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday said that it would give multiple suggestions to the Centre. After a meeting with the district officials, the panel members Aromar Revi and KT Ravindran said that it would take into consideration of all advice, suggestions and reservations spelled out by the people.
964 seats filled in Medical PG
VIJAYAWADA: The counselling for admissions into Post Graduate Medical Sciences being underway at Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada as many as 964 seats were filled up in non-service category. The counselling will be held on Wednesday from 2501 rank to the till end and conversions will take place on Thursday.
IMA annual meet on July 12 and 13
VIJAYAWADA: The Indian Medical Association of the united Andhra Pradesh is going to be divided into two chapters each for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh State. The 56th Annual Meeting will be held here on July 12 and 13 according to IMA former national president Dr.Samaram. He said that the meeting will elect two separate bodies for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and the executive committees will be accorded permission by the National Executive at its meeting on December 28. Dr.Samaram said that the State Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivasa Rao, Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Mandali Buddha Prasad and MP Kesineni Nani along with others will attend.
Counselling for Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies on July 23 and 24
Counselling will be held to the candidates for admission into Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) with its campus at Basar, Nuzvid and Idupulapaya will be held on July23 and 24.
Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Monday released the shortlisted candidates for 2,807 candidates for admissions into six year B.Tech programme. The Vice Chancellor of the University RV Raj Kumar said that those shortlisted candidates who do not attend counselling will have to forego their seats. The counselling for waiting list candidates will be held on July 27 to allot left over seats.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Narcotics Control Bureau has seized the godowns in Gandichervu where they seized huge quantity of drugs.The booked a case and are investigating. They said that the value of the drugs seized has to be assessed.
84 Telugu people reach from Iraq
NEW DELHI: As many as 84 people from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States have safely reached to Hyderabad. They were among 186 Indians transported from Iraq by a special flight on Monday morning. AP Bhavan resident commissioner Satish Chandra welcomed them at the airport in New Delhi. Arrangements have been made to send them to their native places by three special flights.

Women kills two daughters, self
VISAKHAPATNAM: A woman allegedly poisoned her two daughters and subsequently took her life at Madhurangar on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Akula Archana and her two daughters aged one was one and half years old and the other three months old. According to police, the woman was married to Satish Kalyan Chakravarthi who was working for a private real estate company and the reason is yet to be ascertained.
