March 10, 2014 - Hyderabad

Following denial of permission to the venue for launching Jai Samaikyandhra - the new political party of former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the venue has been changed to a private place near the LIC office building at Morampudi in the city. The meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

East Godavari district Collector Neetu Kumari denied permission for the meet on March 12 on the ground of Model Code of Conduct. Rajahmundry (Urban) Superintendent of Police Ravi Kumar Murthy said the District Collector issued orders not to permit the public meeting on the government grounds, since the Model Code of Conduct is in force.

It may be recalled that the former Chief Minister announced on March 7 that he will announce the party's flag, symbol, manifesto and other info while addressing the public.
