House tax dues comes to Rs.350 crore’, says Panchayat Raj Minister

The Minister of Panchayat Raj Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu said here on Friday that a sum of Rs.350 crore is due to be received through house taxes.

Ayyannapatrudu said that the government is thinking of introducing a bill to increase the financial source in panchayat through house taxes. He said efforts are on to complete the pending projects on a war footing.

The Planning Commission has sanctioned Rs.100 crore as ZPs share, Rs.211 crores Panchayat share. With these funds, the government will take up road formation drinking water schemes will be introduced.

NTR Sujala Sravanthi scheme will be introduced in 10,000 villages and as a first step and 700 Panchayats will be identified in the district.
