High Court reserves judgement on 2014 PGMET leak case
April 22, 2014 - Hyderabad
Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday heard the arguments in the PGMET paper leak case and reserved the judgement.
Government told the Court that they would conduct the examination in consultation with a Committee and Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. They told the court that the Government do not know how many were benefited with the leakage of the paper.
It may be recalled here that a writ petition was filed by DR.Vikram Reddy and 90 others challenging the action of the State Government in cancelling of the examination and ordering for a fresh one. The petitioners said that 29 suspects were identified and said that their names can be deleted from rankers list and said that they worked hard for years to get good marks and may not get the same if the test is conducted once again. They said that the cancellation will ruin the genuine students when there are no allegations that the papers was leaked out and large scale malpractices.
Vice Chancellor of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Dr. Ravi Raju said that the entrance test will be held from 10am to 1m on April 27 and the results will be announced in the first week of May.
