High Court judge's daughter-in-law files dowry harassment

Kavya Rao daughter-in-law of AP High Court Judge B Chandra Kumar filed a dowry harassment complaint with Chennai police against him and his family members. Kavya Rao is presently residing with her family members at Nandanam. Speaking media after lodging a complaint she alleged that her father had paid over Rs. 43.50 lakh as dowry to her in-laws. After failed relations, her in-laws demanded another Rs.50 lakh. She said that she married B Ramakrishna in 2007 and had been living in Bangalore and her husband lost job in 2008 and there on loved with in-laws. She alleged that they started harassing for more dowries. Her husband and Chandra Kumar lodged a false complaint against her after she was separated from her husband.
Ramakrishna refutes allegations
Ramakrishna husband of Kavya Rao denied the allegations levelled by his wife. He said that Kavya recently sent a draft note of mutual consent divorce petition with one of the conditions that there will not be any give and take between the two. He said that he lodged a complaint with Jinnaram police station and a case is pending in Medak court.
