HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao expresses serious concern over industrial accidents.

Minister for Human Resources Development Ganta Srinivasa Ro on Monday expressed serious concern over the frequent accidents in the industries in the district.
Speaking at a two day international conference on effects of emissions and effects on the environment organized by AU College of Engineers at YVS Murthy Auditorium, he directed the district authorities to conduct an audit on the safety measures taken in the industries. He said that the accidents that clamed several lives at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, HPCL Visakha Refinery and the very recent at Nagram village GAIL tragedy is a concern for everyone. Srinivasa Rao underlined the need to take steps to maintain ecological balance and added that ‘we needed industries but it should not be at the cost of lives’.
The HRD minister said that they would take up planation in schools. He wanted the authorities should give approval for construction without any provision to take up plantations.
