AP State Capital comes in 30,000 acres of land

The Andhra Pradesh State Government has sent proposals to the Union Government for establishment of new State Capital for the State.

The State Government has sent proposals to the Centre for construction of new capital for the State. It informed the Centre that the new State Capital would come up in between Vijayawada – Guntur in 30,000 acres of land. According to preliminary estimates, it costs Rs.1.13 lakh crores for construction of Andhra Pradesh State Secretariat and Raj Bhavan for which the Union Government is requested to extend help for the next five years.

The new State Capital would comprise of Secretariat, Raj Bhavan along with different government departments, government hospitals, school, drinking and drainage system, guest houses, Roads, waste materials management, parks etc.

The master plan process would likely to be finalized within a fortnight and it is being done with the help of Singapore Government along with international agencies.
