State Government deputes teachers for Green Field Residential School for Blind

The Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu said that the State government has deputed its teachers to the Greenfield blind school, Kakinada.
The Minister said that the government has deputed them as an interim measure. He said that they removed the Correspondent and earlier management from running the school. He also said that the Principal and the Correspondent was already sent to remand by court.
It may be recalled here that the Principal T Srinivasa Rao and Correspondent KV Rao have mercilessly beaten three blind students P Sai, P Surendra and Joseph on July 18, the video of which was telecasted in TV Channels. The parents and relatives of the students have attacked the school and the District Collector Neethu Prasad visited the school and ordered the DEO Srinivas Reddy to inquire. Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission taking it as a sumo motu directed the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and District Collector to submit a detailed report within six weeks. The Thimmapuram police who arrested them produced in a court which sent them to 14 days judicial remand. The police slapped 324 of IPC read with 34 along with Juvenile (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000.
