GO on fee reimbursement soon
August 19, 2014 - Hyderabad
The Andhra Pradesh Government will soon issue a Government Order on the reimbursement of fees to the students studying in Telangana in the wake of controversy over nativity raised by Telangana Government.
Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu in response to queries from members in the Legislative Council on Tuesday said that the State Government termed the 1956 cut-off date to determine nativity is illegal and anti-constitutional. He said that the State Government will bear the fees of the students if the Telangana Government fails to pay.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has offered earlier to bear 58 per cent of the fee reimbursement burden on population basis but received no response from Telangana Government’, said the Social Welfare Minister.
