Fire accident in AC bus claims six lives, twenty others injured

Primary reports says that a private Air-conditioned bus belonging to SVR travels that was going from Davanagera to Bangalore caught into flames at around 1.30am on Wednesday at Chitradurg in which six passengers were reportedly died and another 20 passengers were injured. The condition of three of the injured passengers were reported to be serious.
IGP Parashivamurty rushed to the spot who said that the driver of the bus was absconding. He said that the accident occurred at Metikurki village in Hiriyur talk of Chitradurga district. According to revelations of the bus passengers the bus caught owing to some technical snag, fell down and overturned. He said that the bus was moving towards Bangalore from Davangere and police are making all efforts to contact the transport company authorities.
Sources said that there were 29 passengers travelling at the time of accident.
