Andhra Pradesh Government plans for Common School System

Andhra Pradesh State Government is planning to introduce Common School System by setting up with cluster schools with top amenities.
Minister for Human Resources Devolvement Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the government would soon initiate measures to reform the educational sector. He said that a committee would be constituted to study the success of State run primary schools in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh. HRD department would also launch a website to seek suggestions for reforms in educational sector in a week.
The HRD minister said that bio-metric system would be introduced as a pilot project in West Godavari and later would be extended to all the districts. He said audio and video learning methods would be introduced in a phased manner.
Performance linked incentives:
Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the government proposed to introduce performance linked incentives in school. He said that English would be given equal importance along with others.
DSC notification would be issued on September 5 and in the meantime, Vidya volunteers would be appointed in vacant schools.
