Darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy will be made easy with tickets on net

With the introduction of darshan tickets on net, it will become easy to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has decided to sell Rs.300 darshan tickets through internet and e-darshan centres. The Executive Officer MG Gopal and JEO Srinivasulu held a lengthy discussion on the issue.

It has been decided sell 18,000 tickets a day on net and Rs.300 darshan tickets will be booked for 10,000 people well before 15 days and 5,000 tickets before a week and 3,000 tickets one day ahead of darshan. With this devotee can now have the darshan of Lard Venkateswara Swamy within a couple of hours.

The administration has withdrawn the proposal of selling the tickets under current booking. Guidelines and modalities will be made available in a couple of days, according to sources.

Three layer system introduced:
The Executive Officer, MG Gopal introduced three layer system on May 29 this year in the temple to see if it could mitigate the woes of the devotees. The available space before the deity was divided into three queue lines at varying heights that make the pilgrims to have a closer to the shrine in three parallel rows. The EO said that the new system provided a jostling free darshan to the public.
