'Congress will take care of the interests of Seemandhra people', says Jairam Ramesh

Speaking to media in Guntur, Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh said that Congress party would take care of the interest of Seemandhra people. He is here as part of his tour in the district.

Clarifying that Congress has carved Telangana State not to gain political mileage as is being rumoured by some political parties. He added that it is the long six decade demand that the Congress has fulfilled. He said that the development should not be centre and the recent Hyderabad issue has taught a lesson to us and added more cities are in Seemandhra for the same.

On the issue of installation of capital, he said a committee was formed and that it would take care of the issue. Excellent future is in store for Seemandhra, he expressed confidence.

Jairam Ramesh advocated decentralization of development in all the cities in the region. The committee will search for the same, he said.

On distribution of government employees, the Union Minister said that 84,000 employees will be distributed on the basis of population and option basis.
