12 children discharged while two were critical at Yashoda Hospital

Yashoda Hospital doctors said that 12 children were discharged from the Hospital and the doctors will give follow-up visits to the villages of the kids. Medicines for the children enough to last for over a week have been handed over.
Doctors said that 11 major surgeries, mostly dealing with abdomen, chest, broken bones and head were done on the children. Chief Operating officer R Chandrasekhar said that within an hour of the accident, they have pressed speciality doctors including paediatric surgeon, orthopaedic, anaesthetists, intensivists, paediatric cardiologists, CT and neurosurgeons.
It may be recalled that 18 students along with a driver and helper of the School bus were killed while 19 children were injured when Nanded Passenger train hit a Kakatiya Techno School bus at an unmanned level crossing near Masaipet village in Medak on July 24 morning. Telangana Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao along with the Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy have handed over ex-gratia amount of Rs.7 lakhs (Rs.5 from government and Rs.2 from Indian Railways) to each of the families of the 14 children who were killed in the accident.
