Chief Secretary constitutes apex committee headed by Tucker

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Prasanna Kumar Mohanty has constituted an apex committee headed by Planning Department Special Chief Secretary Tucker.

The Chief Secretary has on Tuesday convened a meeting of Secretaries of all departments do discuss the modalities adopted for the division process. He constituted 15 sub-committees that will submit subject wise reports. They will focus on different departments such as finance, assets, buildings, public sector enterprises, Investments and Infrastructure, services police, revenue and the Planning Department Special Chief Secretary will overseas them. The reports so submitted will be sent to the Centre and all this process would take a couple of months.

Sources said that a political leader or an expert may be appointed as the Chairman of the apex committee.

IAS officers Association have represented the Chief Secretary that options should be given to them to choose the State.
