Chandrababu Naidu showers sops on Kurnool

Chief Minster Nara Chandrababu Naidu said his choice of the capital did not mean that other cities would be ignored. He has specific plans for each one of them.
Naidu showered sops on the district. He said the abundant natural resources and enlightened people were the biggest asset of the new State that had to begin from the scratch. He admitted that Kurnool and Srikakulam were the poorest distances in the State that needed special attention.
Chandrababu Naidu promised to set up a Deemed Agriculture University at Nandyal with specialization in seed development and research with a view to develop the place as seed production hub of the country. An IIIT and Urdu university would be established.
p>Promising an industrial hub, he said that it would be established utilizing 30,000 acre vacant government land at Orvakal where an airport would also come up. He said that in the government vision, Kurnool would figure in the list of 13 smart cities proposed. A mining college at Dhone, veterinary research station at Banavasi and Rayalseema institute of Medical Sciences were being planned.
